A Malaysian pet business built on one rule: choose what's good, not just what sells.
Our Story
Petmu.co started with a straightforward frustration, finding pet products online in Malaysia was overwhelming, inconsistent, and often unreliable. Everything was available, but knowing what was actually good? That was harder.
We’re a Malaysian-registered business, we don’t stock everything. We stock what works. We research what suits our climate, our pets’ common health challenges. We choose products we’d actually use our own pets before they go on the shelf.
The treats we sell? We either make them ourselves or carefully select them, because we wanted to make sure every ingredient is safe for pets. The boarding service? It started small, taking in friends’ pets at home. Luna and Katy got something out of it too, more company, more chances to socialise, that’s what we built.
"Mu" in Malay means "you" — your pet. Everything about Petmu.co is built around that. Your pet's health, comfort, happiness, and care.

Choosing the right product isn't always easy, especially when every brand claims to be the best. That's why we ask questions, take the time to understand each product, and look beyond the marketing claims before recommending it.

The name Petmu.co started as a joke, honestly — an image of a cat and dog sitting in an office like coworkers, and that made us laugh enough that it stuck. Then Luna and Katy came along, both strays, both adopted. They're the reason this stopped being just an online store and started being something closer to what it is now: two people who share their home with their pets, picking and making things for yours the way we would for ours.

Christina
FOUNDER
Christina handles sourcing, curating, baking and the day-to-day decisions at Petmu.co, picking pet products the way she'd pick them for her own. She's usually the one saying yes to the product nobody's tried yet, asking the question everyone else was thinking, somehow making a sourcing meeting something people actually look forward to.
I don't see pets as just animals. Caring for Luna and Katy has taught me that everything matters, food quality, daily affection, consistency. They depend entirely on us, and that's the standard every product has to meet before it reaches the shelf.

Co-FOUNDER
HM works a few steps behind — the thinking, the structure, the design behind everything Petmu.co puts out. Steady and mostly quiet, he's usually the one already three steps ahead while everyone else is catching up.
I don't need to say much for the work to show. If a product makes sense the moment you look at it, if the site doesn't get in your way, that's usually me, making sure it lands right before anyone sees it.

2021 — THE BEGINNING
Petmu.co was registered
Registered Petmu Supplies & Marketing and started as an online store, just the two of us, building something we actually believed in.
FIRST TREATS
muBites was born
We started making our own dehydrated treats because we wanted full control over every ingredient. Small batches, real protein, nothing we couldn't explain if you asked. muBites became the heart of our brand.
BOARDING & DAYCARE
We opened our home
We started offering small home-based boarding to friends' pets. Luna and Katy got to make new friends out of it too.
TODAY
Growing — one step at a time
We're still hands-on, still personal, and we still make every decision the same way: would we use it, stock it, or trust it for our own pets first. Bringing in curated pet products from other countries is just the first step, there's more to come.
